Vitaly McGrath ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Wise Chat mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our App.

By using Wise Chat, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with the terms of this Privacy Policy, please do not use the App.

1. Information We Collect

Personal Information

When you create an account or use our App, we may collect the following personal information:

• Account Information: Email address, name (when signing in with Google or Apple)
• Authentication Data: Login credentials and authentication tokens from third-party sign-in services (Google, Apple)
• User ID: A unique identifier assigned to your account

Usage Information

We collect information about how you use the App, including:

• Chat History: Conversations with AI mentors within the App
• Progress Data: Experience points (XP), level, streak information, and other gamification metrics
• App Usage: Features accessed, time spent in the App, and interaction patterns
• Device Information: Device type, operating system version, and unique device identifiers

Payment Information

We use RevenueCat to process subscription payments. Payment information (such as credit card details) is collected and processed by RevenueCat and Apple's App Store. We do not directly collect, store, or have access to your payment card information.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the App's functionality
• Create and manage your user account
• Store your chat history and progress data to personalize your experience
• Process subscription payments through our payment processor
• Send important updates about the App, your account, or changes to our policies
• Respond to your inquiries and provide customer support
• Monitor and analyze usage patterns to improve App performance
• Detect, prevent, and address technical issues and fraudulent activity
• Comply with legal obligations

3. Data Storage and Security

We use Google Firebase services to store and manage your data, including:

• Firebase Authentication: For secure account creation and login
• Firebase Firestore: For storing user profiles, chat history, and progress data
• Firebase Crashlytics: For monitoring app stability and crashes

Your data is stored on secure servers provided by Google Cloud. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:

Service Providers

We share information with trusted third-party service providers who assist us in operating the App:

• Firebase (Google): For authentication, data storage, and analytics
• RevenueCat: For subscription management and payment processing
• Apple: For payment processing through the App Store

These service providers have access to your personal information only to perform specific tasks on our behalf and are obligated to protect your information.

Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g., a court or government agency).

Business Transfers

If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will provide notice before your information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

5. Your AI Chat Data

Your conversations with AI mentors are stored to provide you with chat history and improve your experience. We want to be clear about how we use this data:

• Your chat data is stored securely in Firebase and associated with your account
• We do not use your chat conversations to train AI models or share them with third parties
• Your conversations remain private and are only accessible to you
• You can delete your chat history at any time through the App settings

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with services. If you wish to delete your account, you can do so through the App settings, and we will delete your personal information, except where we are required to retain it for legal purposes.

7. Your Rights and Choices

You have the following rights regarding your personal information:

Access and Update

You can access and update your account information directly through the App settings.

Delete Your Account

You can delete your account at any time through the App settings. This will permanently delete your profile, chat history, and progress data.

Opt-Out of Communications

You can opt out of receiving non-essential communications from us. However, we may still send you service-related messages that are necessary for account administration.

Data Portability

You have the right to request a copy of your personal data. Contact us at wisechatapp@gmail.com to make such a request.

8. Children's Privacy

Wise Chat is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at wisechatapp@gmail.com, and we will delete such information from our systems.

9. Third-Party Links

The App may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party sites you visit.

10. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence. These countries may have data protection laws that are different from the laws of your country. By using the App, you consent to the transfer of your information to the United States and other countries where our service providers operate.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy in the App and updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.

Your continued use of the App after any modifications to the Privacy Policy constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.

12. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):

• The right to know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose
• The right to request deletion of your personal information
• The right to opt-out of the sale of your personal information (note: we do not sell your personal information)
• The right to non-discrimination for exercising your CCPA rights
